Who we are

MatchLens and this website are operated by Ömer Faruk Gedik, Kabasakal Mah. Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Cd. Diamondland Verse Sitesi B Blok Kat:1 Daire:9, 01170 Çukurova/Adana, Türkiye (developer name on the app stores: Gedik Labs), the data controller for the processing described here. This policy covers users worldwide, including the EU/EEA and UK (GDPR) and Turkey (KVKK, Law No. 6698).

No account

You do not need an account to use MatchLens. The app does not collect your name, email address or phone number. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply to you.

What we process and why

Subscription ID: The app uses a random ID generated by our subscription provider, RevenueCat. Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never receive your payment details. This ID and your subscription status are used only to verify your subscription and show Pro content. Our server does not write this ID to its database; it holds it in memory for a few minutes.

Advertising (free version only): The free version shows Google AdMob ads (banner and rewarded). Google processes data such as your advertising ID, device information, ad interactions, diagnostics and approximate location derived from your IP address to show and measure ads and prevent abuse. In the EEA and UK you are asked for consent; without it no ads are shown, and you can change your choice under the ad privacy options in Settings. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. On iOS the app does not ask for tracking permission. Pro subscribers see no ads. How Google uses data: policies.google.com.

Usage statistics and error logs: With a random install ID created on your device, the app sends our server which actions take place (for example opening match details or the subscription screen, or choosing a language) and app errors. This ID is not your advertising ID and does not identify you on its own. We use it to improve the app and fix bugs.

Matches unlocked with rewarded ads: Matches you unlock by watching a rewarded ad are recorded with your install ID, the match and the date, to apply the daily limit.

Server logs: Your IP address is processed momentarily to answer requests but is not written to our application logs. The server's error and system logs are used for security and troubleshooting.

Stored only on your device: Your reminder and onboarding settings stay on your device. The daily reminder is generated on your device; no push service is used.

Legal basis

Subscription ID and matches unlocked with rewarded ads: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5/2-c). Usage statistics, error logs and server logs: legitimate interests in running and improving the app (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5/2-f). Advertising data: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) or, where the law allows, legitimate interests.

Sharing and international transfers

Data is shared only to provide the service, with: Hetzner Online GmbH (server hosting; the server is in Helsinki, Finland), RevenueCat Inc. (USA; subscription infrastructure), Google LLC and its affiliates (USA; AdMob and Google Play) and, on iOS, Apple. Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention and deletion

Usage and error records and rewarded-ad records are deleted after 90 days. Server system logs are kept for at most 14 days and database backups for at most 14 days; a deleted record leaves the backups within that time. Subscription records are kept while your subscription is active and as long as legal retention obligations require.

Deleting the app also deletes the random IDs on your device. To have your records deleted sooner, copy your ID from My support ID in Settings and write to us. With no accounts, this ID is the only way we can find your records; we complete requests within 30 days. Store records of your subscription are subject to the store's rules.

Security

All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to the server and the admin page is restricted, and secret keys are not kept in source code or in the app.

Your rights

You can ask whether we process your data, and request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing. Write to info@gedik.dev; we answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in Turkey, the Personal Data Protection Board).

Automated decisions

We make no automated decisions about you. Predictions are about matches, not about users.

Age limit

MatchLens is for users aged 18 and over; we do not knowingly process data of anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy; the current version and its date are always published at this address.
